What You'll Do Manage classroom activities, including lessons, play, breaks, and meals, to create a fun and engaging environment for children.Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive community.Provide basic needs and tools for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.Help children reach developmental milestones by adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their unique needs.Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans and achieve educational goals.Encourage social skills development by facilitating activities that promote interaction among children.Maintain a clean and tidy classroom, adhering to health and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times, ensuring their well-being and safety.Track children's progress and report to parents to keep them informed about their child's development.Maintain an inventory system for classroom materials and supplies to ensure efficient use of resources.Adhere to health and safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for all. Requirements Level of physical fitness that allows for keeping pace with the activity level of young children.Ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds.Physical ability to sit on the floor or low chair or squat down for 15 minutes at a timeAbiltiy to walk or stand for an hour at a time.
