Teacher Assistant-5th and 6th Grade

About the role

The position is a 5th and 6th grade Teacher Assistant at Morgan Elementary. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing classroom behaviors and facilitating 4, 60 minute study hall sessions.

Responsibilities

• Preparing class materials
• Correcting and recording assignments
• A wide variety of other services as directed by the teacher
• Managing classroom behaviors
• Facilitating 4, 60 minute study hall sessions

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience
• The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate's degree
• The ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer may be required

Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience.

$17.24 per hour (2026-27 Support Salary Table)

Schedule

5.9 hours per day / 174 days per year

Note: Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase for a promotion.
