Teacher Aide - Maple West Elementary-(2 positions)

Requirements

• Must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
• Must work well with students.
• Must demonstrate the ability to interact positively with all high school students and staff.
• Must demonstrate a willingness to improve and expand skills.
• Must have a willingness to communicate and work collaboratively with school personnel for the improvement of student achievement and character development.
• Take initiative and complete tasks with little or no direction.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
• Four (4) years of experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved.
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).

Preferred

• Prior experience working with children.
• Computer skills.
• Collaborate with faculty/staff.

• Ability to establish good relationships with students, teachers and others.
• Ability to gain and hold the confidence of and to maintain a patient and understanding attitude towards school children.
• Ability to maintain order in classrooms and to enforce school regulations with firmness.
• Familiarity with classroom routine.
