Teacher Aide (Kaegebein)

Anticipated employment date: September 1, 2026. Full-time, 10-month probationary position at William Kaegebein Elementary School. Schedule: approximately 8:35 am to 3:05 pm.

Pay

$23.59 per hour (including Aide differential) per SRP Contract.

Responsibilities

• Work with students on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, and/or in a classroom setting
• Assist with transitions so that students participate in classroom activities
• Provide physical assistance to students
• Assist students with toileting and other behavioral support responsibilities
• Supervise students and perform other services as determined by the teacher and principal

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; or four years of experience and knowledge where specialized duties are involved
• Ability to work with student(s)
• Patience in dealing with students with disabilities
• Good communication skills
• Empathetic but able to positively motivate students to do well

Qualifications

• Teacher aide experience preferred
• Safety Care® De-Escalation training preferred
