About the role

The Sprout School is a dynamic, inclusive early childhood center with five locations throughout the city of Richmond. We are committed to providing high-quality education to children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Our program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing child-led inquiry, collaborative learning, and the belief that children are capable, competent, and full of potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead and assistant teachers with classroom routines and supervision.
• Support children during play, meals, and transitions.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and enriching environment.
• Set up materials for activities and assist with basic documentation.
• Model respectful, nurturing interactions with children.
• Participate in team discussions and professional development sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Some knowledge of principles and techniques of Early Childhood Education.

Pay

$15.50 - $16.50 per hour
