Responsibilities

• Develop standards-based lessons without relying on textbook publishers
• Implement Project-Based Learning
• Apply PBIS and Restorative Practices to create a dynamic, collaborative learning environment
• Build classroom cultures where students are connected, engaged, and challenged daily
• Enhance instruction and learning through the use of a variety of technologies
• Engage families and community members as experts, panelists, and feedback providers for student projects
• Work as a viable member of a Professional Learning Community (PLC)

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of how children develop literacy and numeracy skills
• Proficiency with PBIS and Restorative Practices
• Ability to provide evidence of building classroom cultures of engaged and challenged students
• References that speak to ability to work collaboratively in a PLC
• Evidence of enhancing instruction through technology
• Willingness to learn and passion for student learning
• Belief in doing education differently
• Hold an English Learner Authorization (ELA) or be eligible for an Emergency ELA permit while working toward earning an ELA
• Multiple Subject Teaching Credential - General Subjects

Candidates who receive an offer of employment will be hired contingent upon the satisfactory completion of fingerprinting/background checks, verification of freedom from Tuberculosis, and verification of I-9 Employment Eligibility.
