Responsibilities
- Develop standards-based lessons without relying on textbook publishers
- Implement Project-Based Learning
- Apply PBIS and Restorative Practices to create a dynamic, collaborative learning environment
- Build classroom cultures where students are connected, engaged, and challenged daily
- Enhance instruction and learning through the use of a variety of technologies
- Engage families and community members as experts, panelists, and feedback providers for student projects
- Work as a viable member of a Professional Learning Community (PLC)
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of how children develop literacy and numeracy skills
- Proficiency with PBIS and Restorative Practices
- Ability to provide evidence of building classroom cultures of engaged and challenged students
- References that speak to ability to work collaboratively in a PLC
- Evidence of enhancing instruction through technology
- Willingness to learn and passion for student learning
- Belief in doing education differently
- Hold an English Learner Authorization (ELA) or be eligible for an Emergency ELA permit while working toward earning an ELA
- Multiple Subject Teaching Credential - General Subjects
