Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
• ESL Certification required for all Core Subjects EC-6 and ELAR 7-12
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of subjects assigned, general knowledge of curriculum and instruction, ability to instruct students and manage their behavior, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, experience: at least one year of student teaching or approved internship

• Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; [P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)]
• Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
• Motion: Frequent walking, repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
• Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying 15-45 pounds daily
• Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise, may work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional districtwide travel
