TEACHER, 110 RETIRED, 1ST GRADE
About the role
Teaches appropriate grade level standards based curriculum in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies and Personal Development to diverse elementary students, following District Literacy Program and Everyday Math or other school/District approved curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Provides instruction and carries out a teacher's lesson plan in classrooms as assigned
- Organizes students for effective instruction and learning while maintaining classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students
- Motivates student learning and academic participation while ensuring the integrity of academic time
- May participate in extra-duty activities such as coaching, tutoring, or summer programs, as outlined in the Teachers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement and in accordance with Department of Labor regulations
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required. A Master's Degree is only required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.

This position is for an active CO PERA retiree and works only 110 days or 720 hours per calendar year.
Pay
The salary listed reflects the 2025–2026 school year. Salaries for the 2026–2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1. If any updates or adjustments are made once the new salary schedule is finalized, all impacted individuals will receive the updated salary.
