About the role
Looking for volunteers with heart to help us teach pickleball to kids with autism in Port Washington, NY!
No pickleball experience is necessary! Our goal is to help these children learn socializing skills, fine & gross motor skills, and gain interest in fitness, which means we have a focus on fun.
Responsibilities
- Receive training and be paired with a participant to help them through the motions of the game of pickleball through various drills and games.
- Help participants learn socializing skills, fine & gross motor skills, and gain interest in fitness.
- Form a bond and friendship with participants over the course of the session.
Requirements
- Attend Orientation
- Age 14+
Qualifications
No prior pickleball experience is necessary.
