About the role
The Tea Blending Associate operates and maintains blending assets within the factory, focusing on both regular and specialty tea blending (liquids and dry). This role reports to the shift Production Supervisor and requires strong teamwork, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as problem-solving abilities.
Starting pay: $25.33 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with all safety and quality standards required for blending.
- Manufacture tea blends (Black, Herbal, Green, Flavored Black, Flavored Green, Liquid Flavors) by staging ingredients and blending to meet BOM requirements.
- Operate blending equipment, including the blending robot, baler, AZO equipment, Tote/Bag station, Pepsi bagger filling station, vacuum system, ST Blenders, and Liquids Room Blending.
- Organize and use different teas and ingredients, including proper labeling and FIFO (First In, First Out) handling of partial pallets.
- Perform cycle counts and blend/fill super sacks, gaylords, and drums to meet production requirements in Main Blending and Specialty Tea Room.
- Consume reclaim and receive tea from external warehouses or third-party ingredients.
- Support trials and stack pallets for loading onto pallet trailers.
- Participate in AM (Autonomous Maintenance), loss control, and other WCM (World Class Manufacturing) related activities.
- Perform housekeeping duties and assist in changeovers, including draining tea in Main Blending and Specialty Tea Room.
- Understand and perform organic SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) cleaning as needed.
- Sample for quality and complete daily consumption documentation and quality checklists.
- Record and document trailer inspections.
- Use SAP and RF guns to issue tea to blend orders in SAP.
- Complete all other assigned duties.
- Maintain an active forklift license (training provided if needed).
