TDCJ - Case Manager II - Substance Use Programs

Job Duties

  • Performs complex case management services, maintaining regular contact with inmates while facilitating educational groups focused on substance use, cognitive intervention, anger management, and recovery.
  • Supports skill development necessary for successful reintegration and transition.
  • Delivers structured instructional sessions, monitors inmate participation, documents progress, and submits accurate reports and related records.

  • You are detail-oriented, communicate professionally while building strong rapport, and work well in a team environment.

  • You are familiar with rehabilitation programs.
  • You feel comfortable facilitating structured educational groups and guiding discussions on substance use, cognitive intervention, anger management, and recovery.
  • You have strong documentation skills to accurately track progress, prepare reports, and maintain organized records.
  • You are solution-focused when managing challenging behaviors and committed to supporting positive change.

  • Travel: None - Position may make day trips, but no overnight trips.
