TCTS/P5 CTS/P5 Pod Technician (G)

About the role

This job, located at Andersen AFB, Guam, supports Air Combat Training System (ACTS) operations (also known as Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) and is primarily a hands-on electronics technician role, not a traditional engineering position. An engineering degree is not required. The position requires the physical capability to lift, maneuver, and carry ACTS pods in a variety of environments, including shop, warehouse, bay, and flight-line.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform periodic, preventive, and corrective Airborne Subsystem (Pod) maintenance (including ancillary equipment).
• Respond to notification of malfunctioning Airborne Subsystems/pods, including applicable ancillary equipment, as well as Range Remote Unit (RRU) functions
• Assist with Ground Station/Live Monitor/RRU maintenance as required
• Troubleshoot and repair to restore the AS/pods and RRUs to full functionality
• Perform system installation, preparation for use and reshipment
• Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
• Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies
• Identify and report supply discrepancies
• Transport, install, and remove Pods, including ancillary equipment
