TCI - REGISTERED NURSE

About the role

Mountain View Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our TCI team.

Responsibilities

• Treatment and care of patients with cancer through all aspects of their journey.
• Supervise chemotherapy or radiation treatments.
• Teach patients and their families about the disease and its treatment.
• Serve as a resource to other staff members due to specialized knowledge of cancer patient care.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting patients and moving equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification and renewal as required.
• Successful completion of PALS course within 7 months of hire date and renewal as required.
• Complete the basic dysrhythmia class with a grade of 84% or higher within 6 months of hire date, if no prior telemetry experience.
• Nursing experience in med-surg, ICU or ER is desired.
• Chemotherapy administration experience is a bonus.
• Chemotherapy / Biotherapy Course certification is required within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
• Able to calculate correct doses by applying necessary formulas as needed.
• Problem-solving and handling stressful situations.
• Time management skills and prioritizing patient care.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Demonstrate ability to safely provide expected patient care, including lab draws and information sharing.
