About the Course

TCH007 World of Computing is a CodeHS introductory computer science course that introduces the basics of programming with Karel the Dog, as well as the history and impact of computing.

Students will learn to code using blocks to drag and drop, with the flexibility to switch between blocks and text as desired. The course emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and project-based learning, providing students the opportunity to explore key computing topics while developing their own ideas and fostering an interest in computer science for future endeavors.

Course Structure

• Each lesson includes at least one formative short multiple-choice quiz.
• At the end of each unit, students take a summative multiple-choice unit quiz to assess their knowledge of the concepts covered.
