About the Role
This classification performs criminal investigations, criminal identification, case preparation, and court testimony duties at the entry/training level under direct supervision. As investigative knowledge and proficiency increase, employees perform more independently. Successful completion of a mandatory probation period and required qualifications leads to reclassification to the next level in the series. Unacceptable or "needs improvement" performance during probation may result in demotion or termination.
