Tax Winter 2027 Internship - Denver, CO

About the role

CohnReznick is seeking motivated, high-achieving college students passionate about Accounting for a Winter 2027 internship (~January–April) in our Denver office. You will work on real client engagements, collaborate with experienced professionals, and accelerate your growth through mentorship in a hybrid setting.

Your team

You will be part of an Engagement Team alongside interns, associates, senior associates, managers, senior managers, and partners. Our Denver office serves clients across industries including Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services.

Support and development

• Performance Coach: Meets with you to set goals, provide feedback, and support your career path; many current managers and partners began as CohnReznick interns.
• CR Friend: A designated peer who answers questions and helps you feel at home from day one.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
• Assist the team with daily client workflow.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• On track to complete 150 credit hours (May 2028–September 2029) for CPA eligibility.
• Minimum 3.2 GPA in both major and overall coursework.
• Successfully completed Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher.
• Leadership experience in student groups, activities, or team projects.
• Excellent communication skills and sharp critical thinking.
• Comfort navigating fast-paced environments and embracing change.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; eager to learn new technologies.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Pay

In Colorado, the salary for a Tax Intern is $33 per hour.
