About the role
We are seeking a Tax Vice President for our Personal Tax Advisory Group in one of our Northeastern Ohio offices (Cleveland, Akron, or Wooster). This role is a personal tax specialist and advisor responsible for top-level management of client relationships and tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals and business owners. The Tax Vice President will manage multiple client engagements, supervise the Personal Tax Advisory Group’s management team, and handle larger, more complex client assignments in individual tax specialty areas.
Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and ensure all facets of personal tax engagements meet client expectations.
- Supervise and mentor the Personal Tax Advisory Group’s management team, engaging in their career development.
- Oversee individual, fiduciary, and gift tax compliance and planning, with a preference for experience in international tax planning and compliance for individuals.
- Ensure timely client service and responsiveness to client expectations.
- Conduct tax research and apply knowledge of flow-through entity taxation rules.
- Engage in business development activities.
Requirements
- CPA certification.
- Minimum 15 years of related experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Leadership skills to manage and mentor teams.
- Working knowledge of tax preparation and tax planning software, Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and basic operating systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Pay
Base compensation for this role typically ranges between $200,000 and $250,000, with discretionary year-end bonuses to supplement the compensation package.
