About the role
A rapidly expanding public accounting firm is looking to strengthen its tax team with the addition of a seasoned professional. The firm works with a broad mix of clients, including publicly listed companies and privately owned organizations across multiple industries. Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee execution of tax engagements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and deadlines
- Manage project timelines, staffing, and workflow across multiple client accounts
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Review tax returns and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform in-depth tax research and provide recommendations on complex issues
- Communicate effectively with both clients and internal team members regarding progress and deliverables
- Mentor and guide junior staff, including reviewing work and providing developmental feedback
- Stay informed on current tax laws and industry trends
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including budgeting, realization, and performance metrics
- Assist with advisory services and firm-driven initiatives when needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
- Active CPA license required
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a public accounting environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Experience working with common tax and accounting software platforms
