About the role

BPM is committed to fostering a community where innovation thrives alongside compassion and excellence. As a Tax Supervisor in Flowthrough, you'll play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate the complexities of partnership, LLC, and S corporation taxation.

Responsibilities

  • Tax Compliance & Consulting
    • Provide tax compliance and consulting services for flow-through entities (partnerships, LLCs, S corporations).
    • Work with clients to minimize federal, state, and local tax liabilities.
    • Oversee complex tax research projects and deliver innovative tax planning strategies.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary client contact for all tax matters.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Engagement Management
    • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
    • Review work prepared by tax seniors and associates, providing feedback and guidance.
    • Lead teams and mentor junior team members.
  • Leadership & Mentorship
    • Foster a collaborative team environment and support professional development initiatives.
    • Promote sustainable workplace practices by supporting remote-first operations, minimizing paper use, and aligning with BPM’s values.

Qualifications

  • Education & Certification
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • CPA license (or in progress) or EA certification required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 3–5 years in public accounting with a focus on flow-through taxation.
    • Prior experience from Big 4 or large regional firms is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of partnership and S corporation taxation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and delegate effectively.
  • Proficiency in tax research and planning strategies.

Pay

$95,000 - $115,000 annually

Note: This range applies to candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements. For other locations or qualifications, please apply and a recruiter will provide a specific range.
