Tax Director or Manager - Flowthrough

BPM is a firm committed to fostering a supportive and innovative work environment. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Director to join our Flowthrough practice. This role focuses on servicing clients in the Real Estate, Consumer Business, and Professional Services industries, providing strategic tax planning, compliance oversight, and consulting on mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of flow-through clients in the Real-Estate, Crypto Currency, Venture Capital, Private Equity and/or Wine Industry.
- Manage multiple engagements and deliver high quality products timely and efficiently.
- Deliver and Develop innovative financial planning ideas that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
- Develop recommendations and implementation plans for clients and team members.
- Develop and motivate tax seniors and associates by reviewing their work and providing counseling, leadership, and career guidance.
- Champion sustainable workplace practices by supporting remote-first operations, promoting paperless workflows through digital collaboration tools, participating in recycling initiatives to minimize paper use, and consistently demonstrating alignment with BPM’s values.
Requirements
- Licensed CPA
- 6+ years’ experience in public accounting in Tax
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master degree preferred)
- Extensive experience with flow-through taxation
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated proactive thinking and a strong desire to learn
- Extensive experience in researching tax issues and exposure to a variety of flow-through tax issues

Pay
$180,000 - $220,000 a year
Schedule
This is a hybrid position – candidates must be located in or near Santa Monica or Irvine.
