Tax Supervisor

Job Description

Withum’s Tax Services Group is comprised of tax specialists who ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and minimize or defer tax payments. They provide comprehensive tax strategies across various jurisdictions including international, US federal, state, and local regulations, thanks to their affiliation with HLB international. Their services encompass Business, Individual, State & Local tax, R&D Tax Credit, and International and Private Client services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex multistate S corp. and partnership income tax returns
• Prepare high net worth individual returns
• Review mid-level multistate complexity S corp. and partnership income tax returns
• Review mid-level complexity individual returns
• Research and draft memoranda involving complex tax matters
• Identify tax planning opportunities
• Handle and resolve tax controversies
• Train and supervise staff accountants

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification with parts passed
• Masters of Science in Taxation preferred but not required
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
• Ability to travel as needed

Pay

• New Jersey ranges from $100,000 - $135,000 annually
• New York City ranges from $95,000 - $120,000 annually
