Position Summary
Your Impact (Essential Duties):
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns;
- Foster and develop meaningful client relationships, addressing tax issues and coordinating related entity filings;
- Perform detailed reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality work;
- Review quarterly and annual accounting procedures to support tax preparation;
- Analyze organizational structures for tax impacts and ensure accurate filings;
- Prepare estimated tax liabilities and provide strategic tax planning;
- Supervise, train, and mentor team members, conducting regular performance reviews;
- Research and document complex tax issues, presenting guidance and solutions;
- Communicate tax planning solutions with clients and other professionals involved in the client relationship;
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members on projects and deadlines;
- Contribute to team efforts and participate in ongoing professional development; stay updated on tax laws and best practices;
- Supervise multiple engagements, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
- Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity.
Background
Required:
- 4-6 years of experience in tax preparation;
- CPA or EA license or eligibility;
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field;
- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements;
- Ability to adapt to tax law changes and provide strategic tax planning;
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and related tools;
- Developing strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills;
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial and tax work;
- Analytical skills to address and resolve complex tax issues.
Preferred:
- Full-time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines.
