Essential Duties

  • Supervise and manage tax engagements for individuals, S-corporations, partnerships, and LLCs across a variety of industries.
  • Review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely filing.
  • Aid in tax planning, consulting, and research projects for clients.
  • Identify tax issues and develop practical solutions and recommendations for clients.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train tax associates and senior associates, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide informed recommendations.
  • Perform, document, summarize, and review tax research related to complex tax matters.
  • Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality service standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required. MST a plus.
  • Active CPA license, EA certification, or progress toward certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on middle-market business clients; Real Estate industry experience a plus.
  • Strong technical expertise in individual, corporate, partnership, and multistate taxation. Experience with high-net-worth individual taxation a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax software platforms required (e.g., CCH Tax, Caseware or similar).
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor team members.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with executive presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and contribute to firm growth.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $95,000 - $115,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
