About the role

CohnReznick is seeking motivated, high-achieving Accounting students for a Tax Summer Internship in the Dallas office (June–August 2027). This hybrid position offers hands-on experience with real client engagements, collaboration with diverse teams, and mentorship to accelerate professional growth.

Your team

  • Engagement team: Work closely with Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners
  • Industries: Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (varies by office)
  • Office: Modern environment with amenities and collaborative spaces
  • Performance Coach: Meets with you to establish goals, provide feedback, and guide your career path
  • CR Friend: A designated peer to answer questions and help you feel at home

Responsibilities

  • Work on client deliverables including preparation of tax returns (individuals, partnerships, and corporate tax returns)
  • Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances
  • Assist the team with daily client workflow
  • Team up with other interns and professionals for hands-on projects to build real-world skills and expand your professional network

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • On track to complete 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA in both major and overall
  • Must have successfully completed Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher
  • Leadership experience in student groups, activities, or team projects
  • Excellent communication skills and sharp critical thinking
  • Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and embracing change
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; eager to learn new technologies
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
