The qualified Tax Staff Accountant has at least 2 years of tax accounting experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. This role is based in our office in Monrovia, CA, and we have an in-office expectation of 5 days a week. The Tax Staff Accountant Is Responsible For Sales/use tax complianceProperty tax complianceAssisting with making tax paymentsPreparing and review B & O monthly filings, Beverage and Meals Tax filings, and other miscellaneous filings.Preparing and submit monthly and quarterly census reportsPreparing month-end close workbooks and reconciliationsAssisting with new store setupPerforming research on various tax topics and communicate with tax department jurisdictionsWorking collaboratively with other departments. The Tax Staff Accountant Has Bachelor's degree or higher in AccountingCPA licensure and/or advanced degree in Tax or Accounting, a plus2-5 years of relevant accounting experienceSAP S/4 HANA experience is a plusExcellent written, verbal, communications, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focusAbility to prioritize, multitask, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment We want to hear from you!
