Tax Senior Manager - T&E [Trust & Estate]
About the role
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm with most professionals located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote, meaning it does not require job duties to be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret wills and trust agreements for tax-relevant provisions
- Review complex gift, estate and fiduciary income tax returns
- Review fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates
- Provide wealth transfer tax planning and tax consulting to ultra high net worth clients
- Research and consult on various estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax related issues: i.e., State trust residency and taxation, grantor trust toggling; GST tax implications; pre- and post-mortem tax optimization
- Help generate opportunities within existing clients, as well as meeting with and pursuing new clients
- Assume responsibility for managing all aspects of client relationships
- Manage a team of professionals within the group to complete engagements from start to finish
Requirements
- Active CPA license in at least one State
- Master in Tax is a plus
- LLM or JD is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, as well as high net worth clients
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a public accounting firm
- Strong tax research skills
- Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
- Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills

Pay
The salary range for a National Tax Senior Manager is $150,000 to $230,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded, and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
