Tax Manager / Senior Manager
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, estimates, and extensions.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, forecasts, and monthly accruals.
- Respond to tax authority notices and audits, assist technical research, and maintain audit/compliance documentation.
- Cook up ad hoc and special tax projects, engaging with cross-functional teams and external advisors as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5-7 years of senior-level experience managing corporate tax compliance for complex, multi-state organizations.
- Extensive proficiency with Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables, demonstrated in real-world tax scenarios.
- Able to operate independently with minimal training, demonstrating strong project ownership and hands-on tax expertise.
- Experience partnering with remote teams, clear communication skills, and a track record of driving completion in project-oriented environments.
