Tax Senior Manager

Typical Day in the Life

• Prepares, reviews, and signs individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
• Works with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed – including tax planning, client interaction, and performing special tax projects.
• Looks at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Develops solutions and communicates those solutions to the engagement team and client.
• Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
• Manages client billing for accounting services provided.
• Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department.
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Who You Are

• Has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Has a valid CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• Has 7+ years of tax experience within public accounting.
• Has extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Actively stays up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
• Is a self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
• Is able to focus on complex tasks and quickly understands the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes.
