About the role
Our Core Tax Services team is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to support our Texas market on a hybrid schedule (average 3 days/week in office). The successful candidate will manage client tax compliance needs, anticipate tax and business issues, and recognize tax planning opportunities. This role serves as the main point of contact with clients and manages workflows, deadlines, deliverables, and communications. Responsibilities include training and developing less experienced professional staff.
Responsibilities
- Solve problems for middle-market clients in industries such as manufacturing, real estate and construction, professional services, and others
- Manage engagements and provide knowledgeable review of complex individual and partnership returns
- Build and serve high net-worth individual clients with estate, gift, and trust tax planning and compliance needs
- Leverage strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities
- Lead tax staff, seniors, and managers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrate superior client service skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master's preferred
- CPA certified with an active CPA license
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with at least 2 years of managerial experience
- Strong background and understanding of C and S Corporation, LLC, and Partnership taxation
- Demonstrated experience working with pass-through entity taxation
- Preferred partnership experience includes entity structuring, operating agreement review and consultation, compliance, allocations, partner transactions, and related matters
- Experience with complex individual tax compliance and planning, as well as estate tax compliance and planning, is a plus

Pay
Salary range: $100,000 - $239,400. Individual salaries are determined by role, function, responsibilities, work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.

Hybrid schedule (average 3 days/week in office).
