About MHP
MHP is the largest regional CPA firm in Wyoming, with over 75 employees. Since its start in the early 1930s, MHP has been dedicated to personalized customer service to both its employees and clients. MHP is deeply rooted in the Cheyenne community, both figuratively and literally.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Estates.
- Work independently as well as within a team.
- Be professional at all times and have recurring direct client contact.
- Take on increased complexity level of projects.
- Demonstrate ability to take a messy trial balance and provide AJEs to correct it.
- Prepare complete and accurate returns.
- Review others' returns.
- Prepare documentation to support tax return calculations.
- Mentor Tax Associates.
- Review data input, identify, and resolve technical issues.
- Work closely with managers and partners and keep team informed on status.
- Communicate with clients regarding their tax return, possibly throughout multiple years.
- Show understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes.
- Think creatively and share ideas with your team.
- Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis and apply what you learn to your assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor’s degree; Master's degree/CPA preferred, not required.
- Have 2+ years of Tax experience.
- Be friendly and professional.
- Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Be willing to embrace moments of pressure and tight deadlines during busy season(s).
- Take pride in your work.

Qualifications
