Tax Senior Associate - Private Client Services

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and supervise multiple engagements, including consulting, compliance, and tax planning services.
• Prepare federal, state, multi-state, and international income tax returns.
• Conduct research and planning according to applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Appropriately respond to IRS and state tax notices.
• Communicate with clients as directed by the Manager.
• Work as part of an integrated team.
• Assist with the training and mentoring of Interns and Associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
• 4+ years of recent tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or a mix of public/private experience.
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, trusts/estates, and/or entities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Taxation or relevant field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or parts passed toward completion, or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification.
• Experience using ProSystems FX, CCH Engagement, XCM, or similar tax software.

Pay

For Illinois candidates, the expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000. The range for other geographies may vary based on market differences. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
