About the role

A Tax Associate at a TurboTax location is responsible for providing in-person and virtual tax preparation, advice, and support to customers. They focus on building long-term community relationships, serving as a trusted tax expert, and promoting customer loyalty. The role involves engaging with prospects through local events, delivering personalized tax solutions, and creating an exceptional customer experience to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Represent TurboTax locally, engaging prospects and participating in community events.
• Provide comprehensive tax preparation and advice, handling diverse tax situations.
• Conduct discovery sessions, uncover deductions, and offer tax planning.
• Deliver professional and personalized assistance, fostering trust and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted credentials such as EA, CPA, or practicing attorney with extensive tax experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience filing 50+ federal and state tax returns annually.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of tax laws, familiarity with Circular 230, and ability to work onsite.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and tech proficiency.
• Interest in community engagement, content creation, and building a social presence.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
