Tax Reviewer (Seasonal)

Overview

SVA is seeking part‑time or full‑time seasonal accounting professionals for a flexible role based in Brookfield, WI or Madison, WI. The position runs typically from January through mid‑April and involves reviewing tax returns and client documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review client‑submitted documentation for inclusion in federal and state individual income tax returns.
• Examine income tax returns to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Communicate with internal tax leaders to deliver a complete work product.
• Work efficiently with electronic documents using designated computer applications.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and SVA policies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of federal and state individual income tax regulations.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing individual tax returns.
• Comfort with technology, including experience preparing returns online.
• Ability to work with electronic documents and designated software applications.
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to SVA policies and procedures.

Schedule

The seasonal role typically begins at the end of January and runs through approximately April 15. After initial training, hours are flexible and may range from 20 to 40+ hours per week, depending on availability.
