Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper

Responsibilities

• Tax preparation including 1099 and 1040 forms
• Tax planning
• Corporate, estate, and trust tax preparation (experience a plus)
• Client accounting using multiple versions of QuickBooks
• Prepare financial statements in Excel
• Prepare payroll for clients on their normal schedule
• Track and calculate adjustments to payroll additions and deductions
• Prepare payroll tax returns and W-2’s
• Prepare sales tax returns

Qualifications

• QuickBooks, Microsoft 365, and Drake Tax experience (a plus)
• QuickBooks certification (a plus)
• Canopy client management software experience (a plus)
• Enrolled Agent or CPA (a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills
