About The Role Purvis Gray is seeking a Tax Partner to lead our Orlando tax practice and serve as the senior technical and people leader for a team of approximately 50 professionals. This role is suited for an experienced tax leader who combines deep technical expertise on complex client matters with strong people leadership — someone who can set direction for the team, ensure quality and consistency in technical work, and develop the next generation of tax professionals. Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction for a tax team of approximately 50 staff, including workflow management, capacity planning, and performance developmentLead complex tax engagements from planning to delivery, including partner-level technical review and signoff Serve as the firm's technical resource for sophisticated and high-net-worth client matters across compliance and consulting Supervise, mentor, and develop staff at all levels in a team-oriented environment Perform advanced technical tax research and develop strategic recommendations for complex client situations Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients Manage and grow key client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery Oversee engagement economics including budgeting, billing, and collections Contribute to the firm's long-term growth strategy, with business development becoming an increasingly important part of the role over time Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Tax is a plus) Active CPA licenseMinimum 12+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, including demonstrated leadership of large teams Advanced technical knowledge of flow-through/pass-through taxation and complex client structures Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills Experience or aptitude for business development is a plus, but not the primary focus of this role Why Purvis Gray A true team environment CPE and leadership development supportCompetitive benefits and a clear path for advancement Compensation Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and book of business.
