About the role
A broker-dealer client is seeking an experienced tax operations professional to manage NRA withholding, IRS reporting, and foreign tax reclaims.
Responsibilities
- Perform weekly NRA tax reconciliations and remit to IRS.
- Prepare and file Forms 1042/1042-S and reconcile quarterly tax reporting.
- Research dividend classifications (e.g., Return of Capital) and resolve client inquiries.
- Manage foreign tax reclaim and relief at source documentation.
- Liaise with custodians/sub-custodians and provide disclosure data for SRD II.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in domestic and international tax withholding.
