About the Role
We are engaged in a search for a Tax Manager for a prominent real estate company in the Denver area and can be Hybrid. The company holds a leading competitive position and is very stable. Primary responsibilities will include REIT tax compliance.
Responsibilities
- Scope will encompass Federal & State consolidated income tax returns, quarterly estimates, extensions, calculating taxable income and other related adjustments and disclosures.
- This includes preparation of REIT tax compliance, quarterly & annual distribution testing, review K1's, allocations and investor reporting.
- Communication with tax officials on audits and related activities, and research and analysis of tax issues.
- The Corporate Tax Manager supervises a staff member and is responsible for ensuring that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- The Corporate Tax Manager will have contact with senior management, domestic management and shareholders, requiring strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
- Position will be responsible for tax related research, compliance, SOX compliance, and reconciliation.
- This position will prepare and review work papers, prepare extensions and payments.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with mix of public accounting.
- Strong experience with Real Estate Investments (REIT), K1, partnership.
- CPA highly desired.
- Excellent Communication and analytical skills are a must.
- Experience from larger CPA firm, CPA license are required.
Pay & Benefits
- Base Salary Range $150-190k.
- The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience + bonus and strong benefits.
- The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
