Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance & Review: Oversee the preparation and final review of complex federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
- Strategic Planning: Identify and implement sophisticated tax-saving strategies while ensuring full compliance with ever-changing legislative requirements.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of tax professionals, providing regular performance feedback and technical guidance.
- Advisory Services: Act as a key consultant for internal leadership or external clients on technical tax matters.
- Risk Management: Maintain the firm's tax risk profile by ensuring accurate tax accounting (ASC 740) and timely filings across all jurisdictions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Taxation (MST) is highly preferred.
- Certification: Active CPA license is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting. Experience with preparation and final review of complex federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of US GAAP, statutory accounting, and multi-state tax regulations.
- Communication: Ability to distill complex tax concepts into actionable business advice for non-tax stakeholders.
