Tax Manager | Real Estate
About the role
Serve as the client’s trusted advisor, demonstrating knowledge of industry trends, identifying client issues and conflicts, and proactively communicating solution options to the client and team.
Manage staff on engagement deliverables such as financial statements, tax returns, and work papers. Complete technical and strategic reviews as part of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Develop and retain multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects while meeting individual cross-serve goals. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development in partnership with upper management.
Understand the client’s organization, procedures, and internal policies, and demonstrate proficient technical skills to handle all client responsibilities, including awareness of industry trends and alternatives.
Responsible for new client development, overall engagement budgeting, and meeting charge hour goals. Oversee billing and realization on assigned clients, explaining variances as needed.
Supervise, train, and mentor staff while fostering a team environment that supports management decisions and builds a positive culture. Participate in practice development activities to generate new business and cross-serve opportunities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- 5 years of experience in public accounting or a related field
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Active CPA or equivalent certification
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing across all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
- Proficient use of applicable technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field
