Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license preferred or in progress
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting
- Strong experience with pass-through entities and individual taxation
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of individual and business clients
- Serve as the primary contact for tax-related matters
- Review complex tax filings, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns
- Ensure all deliverables meet strict filing deadlines throughout the year
- Provide proactive tax planning strategies and communicate recommendations clearly
- Conduct research on nuanced tax issues and apply findings appropriately
- Stay informed on evolving tax regulations and ensure compliance across engagements
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members by reviewing work and offering actionable feedback
- Delegate tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Oversee engagement budgets, billing, and workflow tracking
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Support client retention and growth by identifying additional service opportunities
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with tax preparation and workflow management software
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
