Tax Manager, Property Tax (Strategic Valuation Services)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Conducts detailed reviews of client’s property tax data on the state and local level, while providing consulting services for these clients.
- Manages and leads complex personal property compliance projects and assessment reviews of machinery and equipment for industrial manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, communication, and energy property.
- Implements tax savings recommendations and strategies.
- Participates in business development.
- Assists with updating WIP reports and forecasting.
- Represents clients during audits and in hearings with taxing authorities.
- Participates in business development efforts as needed.
- Aids Directors and Sr. Tax Managers and other business development professionals in scoping and developing customized solutions for new and prospective clients.
- Manages, coordinates, and reviews activities of Tax Analysts and Sr. Tax Consultants.
- Researches more complex tax issues and opportunities for alternate reductions.
Non-Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, coursework in Appraisal desired.
- 5+ years of experience in property tax consulting, appraisal, or related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite, specifically Excel.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet travel requirements of the job – 25% at a minimum.
- Valid Driver’s License.
