Tax Manager - Private Client Services (PCS) Relocation Assistance Available
About the role
BPM is seeking an experienced and client-focused Tax Manager to join our Private Client Services (PCS) team, working exclusively with Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals and families. This role involves managing complex tax planning and compliance for trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely held businesses, while delivering personalized service and strategic guidance.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of high-net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
- Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability.
- Supervise tax associates' assignments and manage the day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services to the client.
- Develop and motivate tax seniors and associates by reviewing their work and providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance.
- Manage multiple engagements and deliver high quality products timely and efficiently.
Requirements
- 4 or more years’ experience in public accounting with an emphasis on Tax.
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field (Masters degree a plus).
- Licensed CPA OR EA certified.
- Capability to research complex tax issues and exposure to a variety of entities and industries.
- Extensive experience in researching tax issues and exposure to a variety of entities and individual tax issues.
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrates proactive thinking.
- Experience developing and training associate level professionals.

Pay
$125,000 - $175,000 a year Pay Range - $125,000 - $175,000 The salary range provided is intended for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements of the position. Candidates who do not reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, do not meet the minimum requirements, or exceed the requirements are encouraged to apply and a recruiter will provide you with a range specific to your location and qualifications.
Schedule
Relocation Assistance: A flat rate is available for candidates relocating to the Bay Area (Sacramento or Santa Rosa, CA). Those within 45 minutes of a BPM office will be expected to follow a hybrid schedule.
