About the role
Bryn Mawr Trust, a WSFS Company, provides locally managed and collaborative wealth management solutions, including a broad array of planning and advisory services, investment management, trust and estate planning, brokerage and investment services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients through multiple integrated businesses.
Responsibilities
- Apply federal, state and local tax laws to ensure all tax compliance and filing requirements are timely completed for assigned investment management, trust and individual accounts/clients.
- Collect and maintain client tax-related materials.
- Timely communication and filing of client tax returns.
- Work directly with advisors on their client matters and tax preparation process.
- Maintain a current review of assigned account transactions for accurate tax code assignments and account coding.
- Review new account opening documentation and validate the appropriate coding in the trust accounting and tax system.
- Review closing account documentation to determine tax reserves needed for payment of federal, state, and local income taxes and tax service fees.
- Respond to and resolve notices received by federal, state and local taxing authorities.
- Stay current with tax law changes and application to assigned accounts.
- Support the mission, strategy, and values of BMT by promoting the company’s services to clients and prospects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business-related field.
- Masters in taxation or LLM preferred.
- Must have 7+ years of trust tax experience.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of management experience including secondary review of complex tax returns.
- Credentialed tax professional- EA, CPA, or JD.
- Must have excellent PC skills with the ability to operate in multiple processing systems.
- Must have demonstrated oral and written communication skills necessary in the communication with clients, advisors, and outside taxing authorities.
- Must have the ability to analyze complex trust agreements or wills and apply the appropriate tax compliance requirements and standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of trust tax experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience including secondary review of complex tax returns.

Pay
$92,869.00 - $152,569.00 Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
