About the role
Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Tax Manager to support our Washington, DC Metro market. The ideal candidate will manage client tax compliance needs, anticipate and address tax and business issues, and identify tax planning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Solve problems for middle-market clients in manufacturing, real estate and construction, and professional services
- Manage engagements and provide knowledgeable reviews of complex individual and partnership returns
- Build and serve partnerships and high net-worth individuals with estate, gift, and trust tax planning and compliance needs
- Leverage project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to lead tax staff and seniors in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrate superior client service skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferably with a Master’s degree
- CPA certification and active CPA license required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public accounting with at least 2 years’ of managerial experience
- Strong background and understanding of C and S Corporations, LLCs, and Partnerships
- Deep understanding of pass-through entity taxation, particularly with partnerships
- Experience with complex individual tax compliance and planning, as well as estate tax compliance and planning

- Ability to train and develop less experienced professional staff

Pay
The salary range for this position is $100,060 - $162,100.
