Tax Manager or Tax Director - State and Local Tax

This role offers a platform to demonstrate your ability to manage firm risk and provide insightful tax consulting services.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain client relationships, understanding their business needs.Collaborate with Tax Partners to ensure effective planning and compliance.Manage firm risk associated with tax services and communicate these risks effectively.Conduct research, write reports, and consult on various tax engagements.Respond to inquiries from state tax authorities.Oversee sales tax and other tax return preparations.Train and supervise staff, reviewing and evaluating their work.Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals efficiently.QualificationsBA/BS/MS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university; MST preferred.CPA, EA, JD, or relevant certification/experience in an area of specialization required.Minimum of 6 years progressive tax experience in public accounting.At least 6 years of experience in SALT.Understanding of risks associated with technical tax positions and ability to communicate these to partners.Additional InformationAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status, and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
