Tax Manager, International Tax Services
About the role
The International Tax Manager advises multinational clients on tax implications, planning, compliance, and controversy. They manage international tax consulting projects, assess tax filing obligations, and train and develop tax associates.
Responsibilities
- Tax Consulting: Develops and interprets tax strategies, coordinates with foreign offices, and manages client expectations.
- Tax Specialization: Develops knowledge and networks in foreign tax jurisdictions, conducts training sessions, and specializes in international tax areas.
- Tax Compliance: Reviews and reports on international tax aspects, applies U.S. tax compliance standards, and assists in tax provision reviews.
- Tax Controversy: Represents clients in IRS disputes and provides tax advice.
- Other duties as required: Manages team workload, delivers performance feedback, and contributes to professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience through an advanced degree program.
- Four or more years of prior experience in corporate tax, international tax, or legal professional services.
- Licenses/Certifications: CPA, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (or equivalent).
- Software proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced knowledge of tax standards, filing forms, and practical issues.

- Effective organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel.
- Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements.

- Modeling and analysis of financial and numerical data.

Pay
National Range: $79,800 - $168,000
Maryland Range: $79,800 - $168,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $79,800 - $168,000
Washington DC Range: $79,800 - $168,000
