About the role
We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our High Net Worth tax practice. This role oversees the tax preparation process for individuals and trusts, ensuring compliance with state and federal tax regulations. You will also manage and train a team, develop client relationships, and manage client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax planning and compliance services for high net worth individuals and related trusts
- Develop and sustain excellent client relationships to become a trusted advisor
- Identify and recommend creative solutions to complex client issues
- Manage client engagements to meet service expectations
- Build a business network for attracting new business
- Hold yourself and others accountable for business development goals
- Recruit, develop, and motivate team members
- Create a collaborative environment for team members
- Set and achieve stretch goals to increase your value and contribution to the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; Master’s degree in Tax preferred; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- 5+ years recent accounting firm experience, including managing multiple tax accounting projects and client engagements, directing and scheduling staff, and managing workflow
- CPA certification
- Leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and networking acumen
- Experience with tax software and technology
