We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in the Accounting and Finance industry. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team and manage a book of business in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the tax team to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of tax services to our clients.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for high net worth individuals, trusts, estates, and gifts.
- Manage and grow a book of business by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients, including advising on potential tax implications of business decisions.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide clear and concise explanations and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and reports.
- Develop and implement tax strategies and policies that minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure that the team is updated on these changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A Master's degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years progressive experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
- Proven experience in managing a book of business and leading a team.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to high net worth individuals, trusts, estates, and gifts.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Exceptional client service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex tax issues to clients and team members.
About the Role
This is a hybrid role, offering a flexible work schedule.
