About the role
The ideal candidate will lead the tax function for a construction company in Portland, OR. This role involves managing all aspects of tax compliance, preparing tax returns, and providing tax advice to senior management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to senior management.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and government agencies.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with tax software and accounting systems.
