Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships for a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and real estate investors.
- Prepare and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns, including: Individual (1040), S Corporation, Partnership, Trust and Estate.
- Identify proactive tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations with clear financial impact.
- Conduct client onboarding meetings, tax planning discussions, and year-round advisory consultations.
- Provide exceptional client service through timely communication and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance service offerings, pricing strategies, and operational processes.
- Help evaluate and implement technology and AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency and client experience.
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Contribute ideas for improving internal workflows and firm operations.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.
- 5+ years of public accounting or tax preparation experience.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing: Complex individual tax returns, S Corporation returns, Partnership returns, Trust returns, Multi-state tax returns.
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
- Solid knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
- Comfortable explaining complex tax concepts to clients with varying levels of tax knowledge.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software, cloud-based applications, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting platforms.
- Interest in adopting new technologies and AI tools to improve tax workflows.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring tax professionals.
- Experience with tax planning and advisory services.
- Background working with real estate investors and pass-through entities.
- Experience improving tax processes or implementing technology solutions.
